The homie Rodney Charmichael just penned a dope and much needed piece on “Sweet” Auburn Avenue for Creative Loafing. Many know the street for its history and the role it played in everything from Atlanta’s music scene to the Civil Rights Movement. But, it has been anything but productive over the last decade or two. Some blame the old Black guard for keeping it stagnant, while others say that the city has left it behind. Either way, a lot of change is coming to the area.
